Intersectional Musings #26: Sujatha Balakrishnan



Sujatha Balakrishnan shares her story through Intersectional Musings. "Should I call myself Jack of all trades and master of a FEW!!?" she asks.  "I am a teacher/ counselor, a theatre actor and a curator of heritage walks. I spearhead the"Stars of Tomorrow", an education initiative at a government school in Bengaluru along with counselling the less privileged children. I curate heritage walks in the city of Bengaluru for India Heritage Walks, New Delhi. And as the founder of Theatre for Change, a non profit theatre initiative, address social issues that plague society in a theatrical format. I also run a small women empowerment initiative "Project Bead to Lead" for the women of one of the informal settlements in Bengaluru. The women are trained in jewelry making and the marketing nuances along with it."
