The theme of the 2017 Campaign is “Together We Can End GBV in Education!” The global goal for 2017 is to continue to build awareness of and advocate for an end to all forms of gender-based violence in education once and for all. As part of this, we are curating a series of interesting activities through the sixteen days.
Training:
Safe and Unsafe Touch Training: The workshop is aimed at children and young people under the age of fifteen, and their parents. Through these sessions, children and parents will receive information on how to stay safe, how to protect their bodies, and how parents can support their children by being safe adults. Gender 101 Training: The workshop is all set to introduce participants to the topic of gender and to think critically about the ways gender operates, functions and impacts our lives. Participants who register for the workshop will get to experience the following themes through activities, games and interactive learning:
1) Understanding Gender, Sex and Sexual Orientation
2) Intersectionality and Gender
3) Gender Based Violence, Sexual Violence and Sexualized Violence Sensitization
4) Unconscious Bias and Breaking Gender Stereotypes.
